Would I be mad to buy something online from Debenhams?

Was going to order a bra as it's on special & use a credit card.

Is that too risky? I could get the same item from John Lewis - would that be a better option?

Of course it would be better to buy from the retailer that isn't on the brink of calling the administrators in.

Shinyshoes2 · 05/04/2020 23:06

I bloody wouldn't. They've been struggling for a long time.. it was inevitable to be honest

ScouseMar · 05/04/2020 23:07

I wouldn't, they are about to call the administrators in.

No I wouldn't order anything from them as they will more than likely be in administration by this time tomorrow.

Section 75 refunds for paying by credit card are only for transactions over £100 so don't use a credit card under the false belief it'll give you any additional protection. In the current circumstances I wouldn't order from them

Ok John Lewis it is!

I wouldn't hold your breath. DH gave me a bloody Debenhams gift card for my birthday, beginning of March. 3weeks before schools closed, never mind lockdown. I immediately ordered a shirt which the tracking info claims was dispatched over a month ago. It's never arrived and attempt to email with query all just bouces back with info that they are closed.

I ordered DD wellies last week and they arrived on Friday. Didn't think about the risk!
