Newish rented house and no idea what to do! I just went to boil the kettle, plugged in my milk frother and the electrics tripped. Picture of fuse box. I can’t get the switch that’s flicked down to go back up??

Have you turned all your kitchen appliances off?

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 05/04/2020 14:30

You need to turn off the plugs in the kitchen and test them one by one against the fuse box

SpaceCadet4000 · 05/04/2020 14:32

Try pushing it all the way to the off position then pulling it up to the on position. Also, have you unplugged the milk frother and the kettle?

FourDecades · 05/04/2020 14:37

As said above, you need to reset the switch before it will stay on

AwkwardAsAllGetout · 05/04/2020 14:47

All sorted, sorry I had a panic. The switch wouldn’t go back on at all, but it turns out it’s the frothier tripping it, replaced the fuse in it but same thing. Gutted. No frothy coffee for me Sad

Pigletjohn?

Sad I love a frothy coffee

CuriousaboutSamphire · 05/04/2020 14:52

Plug the frother in on another circuit, like a bedroom, and see if it still trips the switch.

Then you'll know if it's the frother or the load on your kitchen circuit.
