Due to revalidate with nmc at the end of may.
Anybody know if they have relaxed it in view of everything that’s going on ? Last time I used the education centre at our hospital to type and print it out but obviously that’s currently out of bounds and to be honest I feel a bit awkward mithering people at the moment for statements. Frontline worker and very busy....

Based on this article I think NMC have approved an extension OP

Yes they have.

Off the top of my head I think it's a 6 month extension.
But I've read a lot of info so that might not be exactly correct.

WeakAsIAm · 05/04/2020 11:00

I think they're was a press release from NMC about delayed revalidation.

Sorry forgot the full details, but should be available on their website.

Can you ask your matron/ward manager for clarification ? You cannot be the only person in this position.

I had an email from NMC re COVID, stating

Revalidation deadlines

We know how important revalidation is, but we also know in the current situation you will have limited time to meet the requirements. Our legislation allows us to extend the revalidation period by an additional three months from your current revalidation application date. We will apply that flexibility now but we want to do more so we are urgently seeking further flexibility from the government for the future. Again we will keep you up-to-date on this.

They've also got a Coronovirus Hub with info

Will do. I’m sure they’ll be relieved if it’s been postponed too ! All the paperwork etc ...
