I have so many!

Lamb koftas, served with yoghurt dip and flatbreads. Pork souvla, marinated in lemon juice and oregano then cooked slowly on rotating skewers for two hours (oh, the smell..) Lamb kleftiko, wrapped in foil and served with potatoes - so tender it melts in your mouth.

For the vegetarians - halloumi and courgette kebabs.

For the pescatarians - kalamari kebabs stuffed with prawns.

For the vegans - mushrooms and artichoke kebabs served with bbq potato wedges.

Oh, so hungry now 😋

Corn on the cob with a chilli and lime butter. Can't beat it.

Lime and oregano marinaded halloumi slices

Moroccan style lamb chips marinaded in orange and chilli

Buttermilk and turmeric marinated chicken kebabs

Can't wait for a bbq when this is all over

Bananas cooked on the bbq

Oh I can't wait for a bbq either. My ex husband was the most useful piece of shit ever but he did know how to put on a great barbecue.

Burgers, marinated chicken ( not fussed what the marinade is, just like a flavour kick) and halloumi...Also chocolate rum bananas 😋

GetTheSprinkles · 04/04/2020 23:36

Corn on the cob, halloumi and banana!

Same. This winter I told all my friends we would have a great bbq party! Sausages, salmon and prawns, marinated chicken, potato salad and vats of Pornstar Martinis to wash it down. Games of Dobble and Jenga.

A nice burger with raw onion, lettuce, tomato and mayo. I used to cook this indoors. Just used mince nothing else, squished meat up and made into patties. Might fall apart on a barbie though.

TheChosenTwo · 05/04/2020 00:07

We had a big piece of marinated skirt and fillet steak on the bbq this evening. Quick and easy although we had it with some kind of sautéed potatoes (he made these inside before going out to cook the meat) and some asparagus he stuck on the bbq at the last minute, very simply dressed in some kind of, er, dressing 😳 and a nice focaccia we made using pasta flour we found in the cupboard which was a success!
Tomorrow we are making pork souvlaki and lamb kofta with roasted peppers and halloumi.
Bloody love bbq food, just not burgers and sausages!
Well, I love eating them, dh does most of the cooking here, I just eat it all Grin

Have taken some great inspiration from this thread, thank you op!! We love all the usual but i struggle when my vegetarian parents come, they usually end up with veggie burgers but i love the idea of halloumi and courgette kebabs 👍🏻 they would love them

Chesterfuckingdrorrs · 05/04/2020 07:54

Halloumi, corn on the cob, potatoes wrapped in foil and buried in the coals.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 05/04/2020 07:56

Halloumi.
Kebabs (sliced veg on sticks rather than kofta)
Salmon (in foil with lemon)
The classic sausage

TKAAHUARTG · 05/04/2020 08:03

Elote; Mexican corn with chilli, lime and cojita. I hate corn normally, but this is lovely. I still love halloumi.

Eminybob · 07/04/2020 09:34

Ooh I love a bbq

Souvlaki chicken kebabs
Herby marinated tuna kebabs with Parma ham and cherry tomatoes
Proper meaty burgers with plastic cheese
Lamb koftas
Sausages
Red onions wrapped in foil chucked in the coals until soft and sweet

Scarletoharaseyebrows · 07/04/2020 09:37

Monkfish kebabs... hmmm...

EngagedAgain · 07/04/2020 17:02

Mmm, seems like I've got very simple tastes! I mentioned a burger in previous post. How things have changed. Burgers, sausages and possibly chicken with salad used to be the standard fare. My burgers though do have all the extras, not just a burnt offering on its own in a bun.
