I've heard a fec Christians debate this now. What do you think?

Obviously don't answer if you're not woo or religious Grin

It is worrying me slightly

Nah. Epidemics are common throughout history.
We are victims of our own success in a way in that we've never had to deal with one in generations.

I do hope it's a bit of a wake up call about what's important and helps with the environment. But tbh if humans learnt from this kind of thing, we'd have learnt it already

I heard someone tell their kids in Sainsbury's that this is what happens when there are more kids on Santa's naughty list than his nice one Wine

Etondreamer · 02/04/2020 23:37

Yes I did think lots similar has happened only within the last few hundred years

There's another Christian with a theory on the pandemic discussed in this thread

Not this one, but I did take notice when I saw a couple of mumsnetters who are working in the field of virology say this isn't THE one and discussed the probability of a really serious one occurring in the next year or two.

My DP used to work in a research facility and when I talked to him about this weeks ago he said the same, not necessarily in the next year or two but that it will happen at some point in the future. This isn't the big one. I really hope governments learn from this warning, but I am not confident they will.

My recent text message to my DSS - we’ve had fires, floods and now the plague! What is next?!?

Sent something similar to my DB too.

But that was meant to be a lighthearted joke.
