To ask how to stop fake leather boots squeaking?

Not the greatest priority now I know! But does anyone know how to stop fake leather boots squeaking like mad? I have some lovely ones I bought a while ago and decided now was a good time to wear them in at home but if they carry on squeaking that loudly I would be embarrassed to go out in them!

Baby powder under the insole? Or lotion if you don’t have powder.

Depends what’s squeaking though.

@yunalis thanks! It seems to be the whole outer part of the boots including the straps with buckles round sides of them
