Breville thread- lockdown edition

Cleaned out the kitchen cupboards this week, along with probably 75% of the population, and found the Breville (or the 'sandwich toaster' if you're not a Brummie like me Smile )
Nb. Other brands are available.

Mine is actually shaped like a cow, with removable plates and it was the first thing I bought when I got my first flat with my dd, way back in April 2004. Hope it still works!

So obviously we need a Breville thread right?

Savoury? Sweet?

Plus also, I have seen a recipe somewhere for waffles cooked in it, can anyone share a good recipe?

The classic baked beans and cheese. Messy but worth it.

Triangular fried eggs.

Definitely corned beef and sliced onion! My sister got one for Christmas one year and that's what we had for Christmas Day breakfast. I'd love one now.

I always thought it was a brummie thing to call it a Breville. We used to go to a little greasy spoon after leaving raves and getting the first bus home in the morning, for a cheesy beans Breville.

Also: fishfinger and mayo but you do need to cook (microwave) the fishfingers first

I call it a Breville and I'm not a Brummie. It's like Hoovers where the most popular brand of the item becomes the commonly used name for it.

Breville = sandwich toaster.

Hoover = vacuum cleaner.
