Why does DS keep getting bitten?

DS is constantly getting bitten. He's covered in bite marks all of the time for about a month or more (definitely getting bitten as far back as Feb half term).

They appear both during the day and during the night.

No one else is getting bitten.

I've checked his bed and there's no evidence of bed bugs or fleas.

I've washed everything.

We hoover and clean. The house isn't cluttered.

I've sprayed the house with Indorex and raid despite seeing no evidence of bugs/fleas.

I've had to give him antihistamine on a few occasions because they've been so bad.

So... what is it? What more can I do?

Are the bites intensely itchy? If so it could be Dermatitis Herpetiformis which is caused by a reaction to gluten (Coeliac disease).
It might be worth removing gluten from his diet and seeing if it makes a difference

Move his bed away from the wall?

Whatevah · 01/04/2020 21:32

Please do not remove gluten from anyone's diet with proper medical assessment.
If he is intolerant to gluten , he needs to be tested whilst on gluten, then tested again when off it. If you are intolerant you may not be able to go back on it and will not get a diagnosis.

To check for fleas in the house, pop a piece of white A4 ( or a guess any other size) of paper on the floor. If there are fleas you will very quickly see them on the paper.
