We were having a trip to Italy for our wedding anniversary in July.
We dont travel a lot, and since this pandemic it has put me off going abroad. Im not going to book any foreign holidays at least for the next few years.
Anything anyone else is not going to do?

Work from home for a few weeks.

underneaththeash · 31/03/2020 08:57

Definitely not what you're doing!

I think I'm not going to take the freedoms that we usually have for granted and appreciate what we have more.

Santaclauswhosthat · 31/03/2020 08:59

I'm not going to stay in, at all, ever, and we're going to have day trips out to different places as often as we can and as many holidays abroad as I can scrape the money together for. Basically go to as many places as possible to make up for all the time spent within the same few miles.

Roomba · 31/03/2020 09:06

Homeschool. Ever Grin

HarrietTheShy · 31/03/2020 09:09

Eat tinned food.

TroysMammy · 31/03/2020 09:10

Cut down on shopping for non essentials, except craft items of course Wink.

GoldenHoops · 31/03/2020 09:11

Send dd back to boarding school. She hates it and for her to say that she must really hate it. Dh doesn't agree.

TroysMammy · 31/03/2020 09:13

Oops read that wrong. Not going to go shopping so often.

Loveabasset · 31/03/2020 09:13

I am definitely going to travel abroad more...help the industry get back on track.

Loveabasset · 31/03/2020 09:14

Oops also read that wrong....I’m not going to stay in the house as much.

HildaSnibbs · 31/03/2020 09:16

Going to try and shop more locally, lots of farm shops etc round here doing delivery now so I'm going to try and use those more.

See my brother more often - he's a respiratory doctor and right now I don't know when I'll be able to see him again.

AmelieTaylor · 31/03/2020 09:17

Put things off.

AuntieMarys · 31/03/2020 09:21

I will not be staying in the house! Used to hiking 3 times a week, weekend breaks and holidays. I will be booking things as soon as this is over!

MrsExpo · 31/03/2020 09:23

I'm with @AmelieTaylor - I'm not going to put things off for another day. This thing has really brought home to me that life is both precious and precarious and none of us are going to live forever. I think this song by Mary Chapin Carpenter - Late for Your Life - really sums it up .....

Skittlesss · 31/03/2020 09:24

We were going to go on a med cruise... can’t see that happening now Grin

FrenchFancie · 31/03/2020 09:32

Never ever homeschooling.
Not passing up social opportunities - I get invited to stuff and sometimes I just can’t be bothered to go - I am accepting all the invites when this is over!!!

Sihaya · 31/03/2020 09:37

Not shake hands with anyone or hug/air kiss non-relatives

Not go on a cruise ever (have been one one and it's not for me and DH anyway)

Will still go abroad, but not book holiday travel, tours and accommodation unless refundable/flexible

CendrillonSings · 31/03/2020 09:40

Put things off.

Well said!

midlifecrash · 31/03/2020 09:43

Learn to drive. I still don't want to. I like having fewer cars about

Zisforstripyoss · 31/03/2020 18:54

Agree with homeschool!

I'm also never going to use antibacterial wipes again. This shortage has shown me that I can get by with my zoflora in a spray bottle & washable cloths.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/03/2020 18:59

I can't wait to travel again.

I'm not going to:

  • let work take over my life
-fall back into buying lots of new clothes
  • shop at Sainsbury's online: I'm very disappointed with them
Waxonwaxoff0 · 31/03/2020 19:01

Agree with PPs saying put things off. Feeling like a prisoner in my own home has got me thinking about all the things I could have done but never bothered because I thought I'd be able to do them another time. Not any more!

thequeenbeyondthewall · 31/03/2020 19:37

I'm
Not going to shop at JD Sports. They are treating their staff awful at the minute.

Knocksomesense · 31/03/2020 19:40

I'm seriously considering NOT sending my boys back to school. My usually volatile, violent, angry little boy is happy, engaging, calm and relaxed.

Biensur40 · 31/03/2020 19:42

Will not take being able to leave my house as and when I please for granted again.
Will boycott Sports Direct.
