Anyone’s anxiety manifested with actual physical symptoms - aches and pains?

Hello all. I have suffered with anxiety and general anxiousness for years and years but lately, unsurprisingly maybe, it’s at a high.

I’ve developed physical aches and pains this last week. Aching joints, pains in my lower abdomen and right side of my abdomen (no symptoms of uti, kidney infection, appendicitis etc. No other symptoms than lethargy but I think that’s due to the situation we’re in. Trying to keep off google!)
Feels like a dull ache like I’ve worn a heavy belt earlier in the day. Not spasmy pain.

The locum GP spoke to me on the phone and after a chat suggested that my bowels were a bit sluggish so the pains are probably a touch of constipation pain or my gut reacting to my anxiety.

My appetite is completely gone too. This is unusual for me but again, I’m crediting the anxiety for this one.

For context; my parents are high risk. Living 2 hours away with no support. I am high risk too but less than my parents. I have a 15 month old DD and a partner who is a key worker but very rarely directly with the public. I’m very worried about my parents. They are still going out for shopping as they have no one to help. And wouldn’t accept help if it was offered.

Thank you for reading my essay.
Maybe I need to be told to buck up!

Not aches and pains, but certainly loss of appetite, inability to sleep, feeling sick, dry mouth, shaking, stammering often present with me.

I saw an article saying the whole Corona lockdown could exacerbate chronic conditions. Have you ever looked into female prostatitis?
Chronic non bacterial prostatis seems to be becoming more common in men and doctors know very little about it. Stress and anxiety can lead to 'flare ups'. Yoga, relaxation, meditation etc seem to be the answer.

Yes, my anxiety causes a horrible constricted chest sensation making it hard to breathe, or sharp chest pains. Not just recently so I don't think it's the shortness of breath associated with CV. Also I have had lots of ECGs to hopefully rule out heart issues. Flowers

No anxiety here at this time, but when I had it I developed big patches of inflamed eczema all around my body.

Something that I learned is that a high body temperature can make your anxiety much worse so if you are having hot showers, stop. I also found that when I was feeling anxious a tepid-cold shower made me feel much better.

Lots of worries here and I can't eat properly and my stomach is a hard balloon. Trying to convince myself it's just anxiety but the bastard anxiety says otherwise. Hope we can all adjust soon.

I suffer with terrible health anxiety which before this I was managing well . I have in the past month suffered a miscarriage had to have surgery for it and then we were put into lockdown because of COVID -19 .

My anxiety has spiralled! I have been suffering with migraines through stress (which have got better and gone now I'm into the next worry) with aches and pains (back, hip pain and leg aches) which get worse / come on when I'm feeling very anxious ! When I keep busy and stay off google ! I feel fine . When I'm on my own or just sitting there thinking about things I then start thinking oh this hurts and have I got this now . It truly is a horrible feeling, anyone going through anxiety your not alone it's a horrible feeling but I find staying busy and keeping the mind on other things (as positive as we can get in the situation we are in) really helps me . Easier said than done I know .

Sending love to everyone who is really struggling right now 🥰 x

Hi sorry to jump in but i seem to be experiencing this right now 😞 I'm not one to suffer with anxiety but I had a miscarriage on 30th may(still kind of on going, blood test on Wednesday to check my hcg levels are dropping) it was very traumatic for me I fainted and had to stay in hospital overnight, in the past week(only in the evening) been having flu like symptoms like aches and pains(not very bad) and have convinced myself I have an infection due to retained products from the miscarriage!! It's so horrible! I don't have pain in tummy or back and no bleeding and don't think i have a temperature but then again how would I know as i don't have a thermometer(if that's what it's called😬) I'm constantly researching and its probably making it worse, I'm panicking as anxiety symptoms and miscarriage infection are similar but its only at night i feel like this from about 8pm, sorry for long post but I can't find anything anywhere related to how I'm feeling😣
