Is it daft to buy pillows online?

I've needed new pillows for ages, mine are too soft and lumpy and they are doing my head in. I kept putting off going and buying more because it's an out of town trip and I just couldn't be bothered. Now we're in lockdown, everywhere is closed and my pillows are just getting worse, the filling all disappears to the sides as soon as I put my head down!

Dunelm are still taking online orders, and I'm tempted to buy some pillows, but I've never bought them online before, I always like to give them a poke and a squeeze in the shop. I can't carry on with these as they are though, I have to flip them at least 10 times to find a comfy spot before I can get to sleep.

WWYD? Stick with the crappy ones I have for however long this lasts, or risk buying 'untested' pillows?

I always buy mine online from Soak and Sleep.

We spent £100 on a mattress topper from S&S once, it promised to stay full forever, within a fortnight our bed had more hills and dips than Teletubby Land. S&S were less than useless when I complained, so I don't fancy shopping there.

John Lewis would have good quality ones if they are still delivering. Good pillows are important.

I bought four from Dunelm online just before Xmas and really like them. The last few have been from M&S and John Lewis and I definitely prefer the ones from Dunelm.

Had to buy new double bed for DD since lockdown and ordered mattress protector and pillows from John Lewis. Pleased with the quality of these www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-partners-synthetic-soft-touch-washable-standard-pillow-medium-firm/p231895973

Had to buy pillows at Christmas for unexpected guests and Morrisons were cheap and really good quality

Should say I bought them online through Amazon Prime

I’d be the same, especially since a lot of places don’t accept returns with bedding.

I do have an AMAZING memory foam pillow from Dunelm though, so it’s a risk that might pay off for you! I’d be tempted to go for it as a cheer-up during lockdown.

@TerribleCustomerCervix yes that's my concern, not being able to return them if I don't like them!
