Advice needed regarding returning a heart monitor to hospital tomorrow

Hello, my son has got an event heart monitor, which he is due to return to John Radcliffe tomorrow. He had it fitted ten days ago so before the lockdown. Now all the routine appointments are cancelled and the hospital is not accepting visitors. I tried to contact the hospital but they so busy I couldn’t get through.
The monitor needs to be dropped of at the reception as it’s the weekend and I have no idea what to do. On one hand, they obviously do not want unnecessary people there due to the risk of spreading the virus, but on the other hand, we have important equipment, which there is shortage of.
We are about one hour drive and I do not even know if they will let us in.

I would just try to contact first thing and go from but the fact they haven’t contacted you to say not drop it off I would still plan to go, just have it in a bag to hand over. I know every other planned appointment or contact is being contacted to cancel or change to telephone unless it is going ahead.
This is a fitted monitor that they need results from, unless it’s remotely downloadable, they haven’t contacted you so I would assume they are still expecting it.
We have contacted all patients at least a day in advance to say it’s cancelled, they really should have contacted you today to confirm it’s as planned ....but, they may have been busy.

I'd keep ringing until you get through rather than risk a wasted journey.
