Michael Osterman (an infectious disease epidemiologist) predicted all this in a book a few years ago - he even named Wuhan!

No conspiracy - it’s just that epidemiologists know their stuff and know where viruses like this tend to spring from.

China already have a series involving a Coronavirus Pandemic apparently - it was in 2015ish.

I'm currently reading The Body - an occupants guide by Bill Bryson. In the chapter on diseases it says a flu virus is the biggest threat to us, and the most successful viruses are those that can spread rapidly. Sobering reading!
