My husband is currently employed by an recruitment agency on a service contract as after 12 weeks workers are to be moved onto permanent contracts. Been there since Feb so date not being contested.

The recruitment firm is saying legislation around furlough workers & service contracts are yet to be clarified so it’s all up in the air.

I don’t understand why as my husband is paid as paye agency worker.

It seems like the recruitment firm just don’t want to make use of the 80% govn scheme.

Does anyone judge any legal knowledge on this?
Part of me of me thinks it will be work our but as I am a full time carer for our disabled son i am very anxious for husbands wage not coming in.

Correct, although the government have announced the furloughed worker scheme, there has been no guidance from the government. It needs to be passed in Parliament.

The more detailed guidance is here www.gov.uk/guidance/claim-for-wage-costs-through-the-coronavirus-job-retention-scheme and refers to agency workers on PAYE.
