I'm feeling like there should have been some allowance made for couples/families joint incomes.
I'm guessing I'm in a similar situation to many.
My husband has done incredibly well in his self employed work and scraped in just over 50 grand for the last 3 years.
All his future work has been cancelled for the foreseeable.
I've been a sahp to our 2 yr old, working the odd PAYE contract.
So we're eligible for nothing, yet really his income keeps us both afloat.
Surely some allowance should have been made for a joint income?
