If my DS (5yr) likes to watch Steve Backshall, Wild Files on Sky and Andy's Prehistoric / Safari / Aquatic, what else would he like?

Just that. He's super into animals. Can anyone recommend any other programmes that he might enjoy?
I'd be happy to buy DVDs if they were no longer on TV/catch-up.
Thanks.

Mine is a bit older (7) but he is a massive nature programme fan. He loves Sir David of course but also really likes Nigel Marvin and Steve Irwin.

The pets factor on BBC iPlayer

About vets treating animals

Deadly 60? That’s also with Steve Backshall. It’s on or was on CBBC so should be on catch up

BaucisPhilemon · 25/03/2020 23:09

Great. Thanks.
We haven't got Netflix sadly. Is Nigel Marvin available in any other way?

Tanked?

GorgeousLadyofWrestling · 26/03/2020 05:55

The Walking with Dinosaurs documentaries that Andy’s Dinosaur Adventures used for clips were a massive hit.

A Tarbosaurus documentary that’s split into three parts.

There’s a dangerous fishing style programme that DS has loved since he was about 6 - Chasing Monsters with Cyril Chauquet. DS loves him!

From that Steve Irwin, naturally, and David Attenborough.

I was going to suggest River Monsters or Chasing Monsters! We love a good fishing program here!

GnomeDePlume · 27/03/2020 07:16

Dinotopia - my DS loved this at a similar age with similar interests

MakeupMonster · 27/03/2020 09:22

If he watches and enjoys Wild Kratts then they have another show called Zaboomafoo on Amazon Prime, from the 90’s.

There‘a also the Channel 4 Program about Chester Zoo (though I think I cried at every episode!)

FindaPenny · 27/03/2020 09:33

There is a good YouTube channel called Brave Wilderness, hosted by someone called Coyote Peterson. Its a lot of fun and very informative. His main theme for a while was to let insects sting him... My daughter was very entertained.
