Safety of Supermarket Delivery Drivers

DH is applying to be a temporary delivery driver for Tesco’s. Does anyone know how the induction is done? And what precautions the drivers take? I know they leave orders on the doorstep now & have handgel in the van.

No idea about induction, but our delivery came all in bags.

The driver unloaded it all onto our front door step along with the paperwork, rang the bell then waited by his van.

He asked if we were happy with everything then left once we confirmed that we were.

Probably safer than usual for them.

I don't know but our Tesco delivery driver didn't stand back and was being extra 'helpful' passing bags to me not observing distancing (although then did sign the pad for me). I hope training is for current employees not just new ones.
