Without paying crazy prices to unscrupulous third party sellers who are probably selling our stolen one?
This sounds a pathetic problem right now, I know.
But I ordered an animal crossing switch console for my young adult DD. She’d saved up 3 years of birthday and Christmas presents, during which time she had nothing, because she was waiting for this game to be released. She’s been obsessed with it since the wild world came out. We preordered from ShopTo on the day the preorders came up. We used them as they were offering a little extra keyring as a preorder gift. I really wish I’d used Nintendo!
Anyway they dispatched it Thursday to arrive last Friday on the release date, with DPD. Friday we got a message it was delayed. Contacted dpd and they said sorry but we will deliver it by 10.30am Tuesday. No word since. It did not come.
We’ve phoned DPD and it’s been lost! ShopTo won’t do anything until DPD contact them but all they can do is refund anyway. They’re out of stock everywhere. It was a limited edition.
She is so upset, I cannot tell you. She’s just been locked down in her little flat away from us, I’ve been really unwell with what we think is probably coronavirus for 2 weeks, and the thought of this was getting her through.
I’d buy her a replacement in the blink of an eye if anywhere was in stock but I really can’t pay £650 to third parties who probably stole ours in the first place. It’s not like I can trawl the shops any more.
Any suggestions I haven’t thought of? And I am aware many people have bigger problems than this. But didn’t think it would hurt to ask.
