How far is ok to drive to drop shopping off to elderly parents

Have been unsuccessfully trying to get a delivery slot for my parents. They are ok for now but will need more supplies soon. We live about 50 miles away. They have health conditions and I don't want them going out. Obviously all their friends are of a similar age. If I can't get a slot will I be able to drive over and leave shopping on their doorstep?

That surely is helping vulnerable adults

I don't see why that's a problem at all.
