I have been offered a role as a PCSO... I have a conditional offer and have now passed everything and so am due to receive my firm offer this week. The start date is set at 27th April, is this likely to be delayed with everything that’s going on at the moment? I assume so, but wondered if anyone had any information? I spoke to the HR team last week and there were no plans to delay then however with the lockdown news I’m assuming this will change?

Yes,likely to be delayed. All our courses have been cancelled.

Yes could go either way. It will be all hands to the pump now. May need to get people in ASAP

Not delayed here. Need to keep recruitment turning. Might even be brought forward.

I did think it could go either way. Such an uncertain time at the moment. I thought it may be delayed due to the classroom element of the training, but then thought they’re going to need staff more than ever!
