Our bloody washing machine broke today Angry I know in the wider scheme of things we can manage, but I'm really not liking the thought of spending the next three months handwashing on top of everything else...

Online suppliers like ao.com might still be open?

AnnSmiley · 23/03/2020 21:04

The annoying thing is we're genuinely rubbish at DIY so we'd never be able to fit it ourselves if they did doorstep deliveries

Oh you would manage, just film & photo the unhitching process for the old one, then do the reverse. You’ll be fine

Pinkflipflop85 · 23/03/2020 21:10

Washing machines are really easy to install yourself.

PutColinInTheCorner · 23/03/2020 21:11

You don't need to be able to do diy to plumb in a washing machine, just follow this:

Honestly, it's so easy to do.

PontiacBandit · 23/03/2020 21:12

I'm utterly crap at DIY but it's not too bad, clean water pipe in, waste water pipe out and the plug.
The £15 installation fee is an absolute rip off. All machines come with an idiot guide to set up. You'll be fine, I promise.

GrumpyMiddleAgedWoman · 23/03/2020 21:12

Washing machines are loads easier to install than you think. You can totally do it!

And I agree, no washing machine sucks. Washing sheets in the bath is not amusing.

Pedallleur · 23/03/2020 21:13

Electrical stores to close but could you have it delivered? Can't see why not but the delivered may insist on distancing

MasterBruceBalloon · 23/03/2020 21:14

We have a new fridge being delivered tomorrow. Well, supposed to be. I hope it is because our current fridge is broken. But will have to see.
