Hymns. Sung very out of tune.Grin

ZZ Top - Afterburner cd.
Paul Simon - the cd he did with African music mixed in

Days of Our Lives by Queen played at her funeral.
Wires by Athlete was in the charts when she was dying.
There's another similar song that was in the charts that reminds me of her for the same reason.

C'mon Eileen by Dexys Midnight Runners because she said it reminds her of my friend from teenage years.

Songs from West Side Story because she liked the play.

Eurythmics - Angel

Peanut55 · 22/03/2020 22:31

Maybe I'm just like my mother, she's never satisfied.

Kiss me - sixpence none the richer. Used to be on the radio on the drive to school

Top loader - dancing in the moonlight

Janet Jackson - together again

Tom Jones - Delilah

Quite a mix bag really

Forever in blue jeans - Neil Diamond
Her singing along to it in her kitchen, it’s the only time I can think that I saw her happy.

I can’t hear You Raise Me Up without crying these days. I remember singing it with her at concerts and she was such a big fan.

Take Your Mama Out by the Scissor Sisters

She's a rainbow by the Rolling Stones

Fuss · 22/03/2020 23:10

Whichita Lineman - Glen Campbell.

A few country songs make me think of her but at one especially. She'd bring the records out on a Sunday morning whilst she cooked lunch so Glen Campbell, Charlie Pride and Don Williams make me think of her.
She died 3 years ago now and I'll often shed a tear when I hear certain songs but whichita Lineman probably gets me the most.

We share a taste in music so theres a lot that reminds me of her.

But mostly Viva la Vida by coldplay. If I close my eyes right now I can picture her singing along to it in the car. It's her song.

turkeyontheplate · 22/03/2020 23:14

Because of You by Kelly Clarkson

RosesFan · 22/03/2020 23:19

Oh God loads! The Whole of the Moon - she requested that from the hospital radio. Bridge over Troubled Water - I had that played at my wedding especially for her. Anything by Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Robbie Williams, I wish she was here, it was her 10 year anniversary a couple of days ago

Maxabella2 · 22/03/2020 23:30
