I think I know the answer, but ....

I’ve got a cough also, but I have had it a while now, before the COVID 19 symptoms of a new cough with the temperature were made public.

I’ve been off this week on annual leave, and this cold has crept up the last couple of days, then BAM !!

Not good timing.

Please don’t shout at me for asking the question above when it’s plainly obvious, but I have direct contact with the patients and a key worker.

Yikes, I meant to say hospital outpatient clinic based .

I'd say it's a big no!
But call them now so they can arrange cover. The last thing hospitals need is any sort of bugs or cold getting spread.

You will be sent home.

I don't think you should go in. I expect you showed signs of the cold on Friday so no one will be expecting you. It's unfortunate but when your cold is better, you can return to work. At the moment, with a cold, your resistance to other germs will be lowered so stay indoors and nurture yourself!

@Lynda07, I was on annual leave last week, so no one from work has seen me. 🙂.

Thanks, I’m feeling guilty about not being there to support others, plus crap timing due to annual leave last week, but you are right, I just needed somebody else to say no also.

I’ll ring them first thing tomorrow when they get in, thanks all, and stay safe xx
