Help me decorate my wall of doom!

I've done this before.

I'm the proud owner of the flamingo bathroom, if anybody remembers that thread from last year Grin

Now I have this wall in my L shaped kitchen/utility area. I call it the wall of doom.

It cant have anything protruding too far out as the kids walk along it. Usually with sticky or grubby hands Hmm

I need SOMETHING on it. Something huge and bright.

Help?

How about a family tree? I mean to do this, but don't know where. That space looks perfect!

Howmanysleepsnow · 21/03/2020 09:54

No idea, but I’m intrigued by the flamingo bathroom! Please could you post a picture?

KnittingSister · 21/03/2020 11:03

I would say because it's quite narrow, paint a mural directly onto the wall. A spring meadow, fresh and bright?

I wasnt sure whether murals were tacky or not.

Quite fancy some big bright gin bottles or something. Or chickens.

Continuing with the flamingo theme, or jungle leaves?

How old are your children. I’ve always fancied wallpaper you can colour in yourself 👩🏻‍🎨🖍🎨

Why not let the kids paint/draw on it whilst in isolation - it’ll give them something to do Grin

h0llygolightly · 21/03/2020 11:33

I'm intrigued, how flamingoey is the bathroom? I'm imagining Aladdin's cave but pink x1000. Give us a peek OP pleaseeeGrin

Flyingarcher · 21/03/2020 11:41

What about blackboard stuff on the lower half, then they can draw on that and something bright like a teal/turquoise on the upper part

Sn0tnose · 21/03/2020 12:21

OP, don’t make us advance search for your posts! Show us the flamingos!!!

Oh yes- give the kids free reign! It'll be great! I'd love that.

AbsolCatly · 22/03/2020 07:59

I would paint a blackboard (or several small ones) with painted frames in favourite colours - then let the DCs loose with chalk

I have a large on in my kitchen which we use for random art, leaving messages, meal planning etc (and have used chalk pens to make a semi perm stick family which DD5 loves)
