I haven’t used supermarket delivery before.
I can book a slot on 8 April but I have to submit my order by 7.30pm today.
If I add a few bits to the order can I add to it or change it in the days running up to the delivery date!

yes you can, you must check out by the time tonight and then if yu add to it you MUST check out again

Yes, normally 24 hours before is the cut off date to edit your order.

They should send you a text to remind you

You can usually amend your order up to a certain time the night before. Depends on supermarket, it'll tell you when you book.

You need to shop the minimum amount usually £40 at most supermarkets but keep checking everyday because not much stock at the moment so things do out of stock even though you have ordered them
