Can I still get a doctors appointment for something non-corona related?

Have had a twitch in both eyes for the past few months, assumed it was down to tiredness. It has now spread down the left side of my cheek and I also have a mild tingling sensation just over my left eye/cheek proportion. Have also experienced some tingling and hot sensations in my hand alongside terrible headaches.

Concerned it may be something sinister however I cannot get through to the doctors at all. Do you think it’s unlikely they will see me until all this blows over? I have a 20 Month old dd so feeling very anxious it’s something bad.

Send an email, fill in web form, post a letter....

Don't ignore it.

Yes - I had one on Tuesday.

I had a phone appointment about a bad back with my GP this morning. Definitely don't ignore your symptoms.

GP appointments are now by e-consult. See if you can book on through their website. It may be something they just don’t have capacity for though, particularly if you would need to see a hospital specialist, and they need you to wait. Wait for a neurology referral is long anyway though so harm in getting in the queue for when things quiet down

I’m due to see a nurse practitioner tomorrow and haven’t had a cancellation yet.

OH completed his GP's online form about worsening sleep apnoea. They were supposed to call back prior to Tue 6pm and 2 days later he still hasn't heard back at all. I realise they are busy, but at least an acknowledgment or email would be good.

Managed to get through and am waiting for a doctor to give me a call. Hopefully they will be able to squeeze me in somewhere.

Thanks for all the advice guys.

Just thought I’d update. They called and asked me to come in. Have been referred for an MRI and seeing a neurologist hopefully in about a month.
