Our little use to be a great sleeper with only 1 or 2 feeds a night but the last week she is waking every hour. One of the wake up I do change her nappy and feed her but the others I dont pick her up and just soothe her back to sleep in her cot. We have checked things like temperature of the room etc but still cant get her to sleep longer. Otherisly this is now making us exhausted. Is this the 4 month regression that will pass in time or to do with milestones. Any body else have this

I have a 9mo. She’s definitely gone through stages of waking every hour. Usually when she is sick or a tooth is about to come through.
Also if she naps too close to bedtime she wakes at night every hour. So I make her latest nap wake up time 3pm. Then she stays up until 7:30.
A 4-mo is still quite young, so she may need an extra feed during the night. Maybe try 2 feeds spaced apart?
Hope it passes soon it is so tiring and wears you out quickly!

My 3.5 month old is doing similar. I find tucking him into my side during night feeds helps (I EBF) him to sleep for 2 hours.

Gah I feel your pain.

The one thing that helped me was - beyond the obvious (temp, hunger etc) was to stop looking for explanations. I deleted wonder weeks, I stopped reading regression stuff, and I just accepted that at this tiny age they are going to go through stuff. Then at 8 months I got a sleep consultant in, worked out a much better routine for him and that pretty much sorted us.

Its shit - but it will get better.

Thanks. We had a better night last night with one wake up for fed and wont just general wake up where she needed settling. Hoping she doesn't go back. We wake her up at 4pm from a nap then she up to 6pm. But time we do bath etc she not asleep to 6.30

Have you downloaded the wonder weeks app? I was dubious but it has been pretty spot on for my youngest, it tells you when they will be making leaps in development and when their behaviour might be a bit off.
