Standrewsschool · 18/03/2020 21:31

Just watched a documentary about Maiden, the first all female crew in the Whitbread Round The World race. Inspiring.

Frownette · 18/03/2020 21:32

Yes, I've had a terrible craving for champagne since people on here have spoken about it.

I might order 35cl from amazon

Windyatthebeach · 18/03/2020 21:42

48, many many dc, new dpuppy got me more stressed than dc atm!!
Now she sleeps...
Sick of hunting missing shoes!!

Pinkarsedfly · 18/03/2020 21:45

45, 2 dc of 19 and 21, one adorable husband.

And four ridiculous tripehounds.

Getting through this by watching old episodes of This Country. Also becoming obsessed with The Chase Blush

Pinkarsedfly · 18/03/2020 21:46

I also ordered a massive pack of Tayto crisps off Amazon earlier, just because I keep seeing them mentioned on MN and I’m fed up of not having tried them.

Windyatthebeach · 18/03/2020 21:47

Pinkarsedfly I have 4 ddogs also...
Grin

Wolfiefan · 18/03/2020 21:48

@Windyatthebeach
My pup has me too knackered to be stressed.
There IS a plus side to no sleep and bitey buggers. Grin

Windyatthebeach · 18/03/2020 21:51

She is sleeping all night then full speed ahead all day.
Other ddogs are sick of ears pulled and being barked at!!
Roll on longer walks!

Wolfiefan · 18/03/2020 21:53

I’m keeping mine separate mostly. Big girl in season and little one a bugger. Sleeping? Ideally 7pm until 5 something. Sad
Can’t keep her awake later. Waking her for a last wee doesn’t help. But she makes me laugh so much.

copycopypaste · 18/03/2020 21:58

My dd is going to her Dads this weekend, what happens if we have lockdown? Just for info I get on well and trust my ex, but the thought of not being able to have her back is fairly scary.

Mopmum35 · 18/03/2020 21:58

Frownette · 18/03/2020 22:34

I live at the beach, don't have the energy to go though! I forgot to buy milk earlier to make ovaltine.

I swear my brain has been overloaded by recent news and can't function properly

Bluebell121 · 18/03/2020 22:35

OP posts:
Guiltypleasures001 · 18/03/2020 22:37

Hi op

Me

Mid fifties married with ds early twenties

I trade in watches on eBay, and people are going bonkers I'm doing a roaring trade I'm not sure what's going on

Plus side of the virus and the NHS,
They say that necessity is the mother of invention
There will be significant ways in which a future NHS will be able to
Push through stream lined services, without any drop in care but saving on time and money for both patient and the service.

People who put road blocks in the way previously because of personal agendas and wanting to cause problems for either a trust or the government
Are having to wind their neck in and do as they are told, for the good of patients and the nation as a whole.

A+E dept are the quietest they have ever been in many years, and have seen the sudden upsurge in senior clinicians triaging and reading the riot act to malingerers and people who should not be in there anyway.

Visiting numbers are now restricted and for once being enforced
Working from home will probably be something that's seen as the biggest thing kept up going forward.

Childcare costs could go down, transport costs and pollution overall
It's been astounding what has been achieved so far, with so many people pulling together to make shit happen, and the ones that have spent their careers at high levels trying to block it still even now, have been found out.
