Single parents. What jobs do you do?

Because I’m really struggling to find one to fit around child minder hours!

Single mum to toddler twins after DH left at Christmas. I need to find a part time job, but finding it really hard. Nearly all my experience is in support/housing work and the hours just don’t fit! I’ve had two interviews this month and both times I was told that they would be unable to accommodate my limited hours.

I totally get that obviously, but I’m also totally stuck. How do other people manage? I need advice please

Will he have them overnight, or would your Mum etc?

I used to condense my hours into two 12 hour shifts.

@Ponoka7 DH never has them alone. An overnight isn’t an option at this time.

My parents would take them for one night, but that would be the limit. They are getting on a bit and find them quite exhausting (although love them dearly obviously)

I just can’t see a way to make 12 hour shifts etc. work.
