Booked a holiday for me, DH and DS11 & DS13, as well my my parents both age 61. Booked it in December but only booked travel insurance last week. Went for a pricy one advised by Martin Lewis.
My best mates birthday is 13 March and my dads is 16 March. I have mixed them up before I don’t know why. When I booked insurance I accidentally said his birthday was the 13th. I even rang him up and got the kids to sing happy birthday. Felt sick when I realised I had ballsed up. (He didn’t care, just when I realised I had given his wrong birthday to insurance). Planned to ring up the insurers to change it this morning as I had a manic day yesterday.
But Today I heard from JET2 that flights to Gran Canaria are cancelled. The hols not til end of April.
Will they still honour the insurance if I need to claim? I’m hoping the holiday might still go ahead as it’s 6 weeks away, but who knows. Feel like such an idiot. I’m frightened to call them and change his DOB incase they say he isn’t covered. What a twat I am.
