Yes, lots of tabbies. Mine upthread is a foster and we do find in the rescue that the tabbies are more popular so get rehomed faster. I think we're struggling at the moment due to corona uncertainty and of course if we end up on lockdown, people won't be able to come and meet the cats.

I like your bed thing. I keep saying I'll buy proper cat beds for the living room as we currently have loads of cardboard boxes which make it look a little like we live in a packaging warehouse, but cats being cats, they'll probably ignore the nice beds and find a tatty old box somewhere else in the house.

They sometimes use the nice but non washable ones as toilets too so have had to throw too many away.

Like the winterdyke name, I've never heard it called that before. Mine usually climb on it, pull the washing off and then fall off the bars and need to be rescued.

It's what I was brought up calling them, Barbara. A good Scots word😁

I'm not certain how old she is, she came with the cottage and that was over twenty years ago.
She was only a tiny young thing but had had at least one litter and was caring for one when she moved in.

She's lovely and fit, healthy as a horse and is still the slayer of the street no matter how noisy we make her.

Here's mine - and he could be described as either.

Have name changed in case anyone recognises my distinctive mask faced girl.

These three love to cuddle up for a sleep, brother and sister and an unrelated girl, who all love each other very much.

Black cat fans might also appreciate this gang, which are not asleep, but I’m sure no-one will mind them joining the thread. This lucky lot live in Playa Blanca Lanzarote, where there is an organised rescue/feral welfare group, to feed, water, neuter and generally keep any eye on them and as you can see, they live healthy lives for homeless cats.
