I am struggling! She has everything she needs; both at my house and at her Dad's. She likes 1) music 2) writing 3) sports
Any help please?

Tickets for a music/sporting event? Doc Martens?

AhoyMrBeaver · 13/03/2020 10:19

Buy her an experience. Theatre and a night in a nice hotel, driving supercars, snowdome day, theme park...
Something that is not set in stone though, given the current situation.

A creative writing journal? There's a specific really nice one I bought a niece a couple of years ago, but I can't find it right now. Something like this:

Depends on her personality as to whether she prefers to keep her writing a private thing just for herself, but if she's into both that and music, what about a songwriting creative workshop for teens type of thing?

Along these lines:
www.songacademy.co.uk/camp/

Local arts centres sometimes run cheaper versions in school holidays.
Obviously depends on what's available near you (unless you maybe combine it with advance Xmas present etc. to afford a few days away at camp?)

PS I second 'Wreck This Journal'!
Has been a big hit with the young teens I know.

My dd was 13 last Saturday. We got her a two hour session in a recording studio and she got to watch her songs mixed and put on a cd. Not as expensive as you would think.

Young driver driving lesson?
Either a couple for her, or as a party for 6 teens.ds still talks about this 4 years later!
Take her shopping, do posh lunch then let her choose new clothes?
Nice piece of jewellery?
New bike?

Thanks all for your help!

I splurged and bought her a cheapie laptop! I'd been hesitant to do so as she has one of her own at her Dad's but she has enough of a pain carrying sporting equipment from house to house via school - figured this and a google cloud drive for homework the best bet!
