All on my own as DH is at a social meeting thing, home about 11
I've parboiled some spuds and I will be having wedges and eggs for dinner with a glass of wine of course!
As the wedges cook I'm enjoying planning two shopping lists!
Tomorrow I'll be getting ingredients for dinner as DD and her Fiancé are coming round in the evening, really looking forward to seeing them
Saturday I'll be shopping for our 4 nights away in the Dales in our campervan starting Sunday. I love cooking in the van, it's like "playing at houses"
Don't care about the weather forecasts as we have appropriate clothing
I love looking forward to things.
What are you up to or looking forward to?

Lovely thread @Raera. Your post really set the tone of your pleasant evening. Enjoying the simple things.
Im tucked up in bed wearing super cosy PJ's listening to the dog snoring next to me and the wind howl outside.
Ive eaten some of my favourite artichokes in oil. I think i will get up early tomorrow make a smoothie and bits for work.
Im looking forward to getting out of debt. The end is in sight! Also looking forward to summer. The blossom is starting to come out on the trees. Even when it's cold the sun coming into my living room is beautiful and i can just sit there peacefully enjoying it on my days off.
Believe it or not, im looking forward to going to work. Ive gradually increased my hours & feel like i make a genuine difference to the company, im getting along with everyone, not getting involved in office drama, and the extra money is a godsend. Have a family member to mind my dog. Everyones a winner.
Im also looking forward to seeing the rest if the year sober. Ive cut back on alcohol and im reaping the benefits of extra money and energy!
Id love to go camping in a campervan! Sounds like you have it all set Smile

I am snuggled up in PJs and fluffy socks.
Little 2 are fast asleep in bed, and DS1 is playing Xbox sat on the other sofa (so I can keep an eye on what he's playing)

I'm having a chamomile tea and doing some of my online course (child psychology) and browsing MN when my concentration gets too bad. (I have psychotic depression and one of my symptoms is a lack of concentration)

I'm looking forward to my sister coming down for the weekend! We've booked an art class all day Saturday. Really looking forward to it.

We have to focus on stuff like this, don't we? Else we'll go mad.

mogloveseggs · 12/03/2020 20:54

Yes. Been out for tea with friends and had a right good natter Smile

I have a glass of red and a bowl of pb pretzel bites to hand, and am reading a brilliant book (All the Light We Cannot See). What a beautiful sunny day it was today as well, safe to say Spring is arriving!

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 12/03/2020 20:59

I'm sitting on my bed in my pants writing to-do lists for the weekend. Tomorrow will be v busy so getting it done now means it's out of my headspace. It is completely silent here too which is nice.

TwoZeroTwoZero · 12/03/2020 21:19

I tried some new chocolate spread that dh bought from Iceland tonight. I was looking forward to some on toast. I didn't like it though because it was a bit bitter and not sweet like I'm used to. Dh likes it though so he's going to eat it himself. I don't know what else to make for my tea but I cba to cook! Other than that, yes, I'm enjoying my evening doing nothing and watching TV.

Raera · 12/03/2020 21:29

Well I enjoyed my potato wedges with egg. Old fashioned gal so ate at the dining table and the wedges were in a serving dish.
I'm loving the posts involving children. As a granny I miss the children who don't live locally but 2 weeks tomorrow we collect them and bring to ours so we can thoroughly spoil them for 5 days and their parents take a much deserved mini break. Win win!
Just pouring more wine. Enjoy your evenings!

I'm doing a charcoal peel off mask. Trying to reach my goal of 'glass skin' by summer😁 also watching Noughts and Crosses.

Fizzypoo · 12/03/2020 21:37

I cooked fajitas with a large glass of wine in my hand for dinner and the teen DC stayed at the table chatting after instead of rushing off. It was lovely.

Watched Netflix on the sofa after so nothing unusual but it felt nice and cosy.

Lidl tinned Dauphinoise potatoes

Really?? Haven't heard of these. Must try them!

BidieIn · 13/03/2020 09:25

Tinned dauphinoise potatoes sound vile!
I may try them though Grin I quite like vile occasionally. I fried a tin of bacon grill recently. The children were Confused

Itsnotalwaysfair · 19/03/2020 21:09

@Raera I can't remember if I precious the bacon. Sorry for the lone silence. Tricky few days but better now. Today I saw a duck on the canal out the back who glided along so proudly it made me smile. And the sun is shining so I could try things on the balcony
