I have a fire tablet and echo dot which I mostly love
But seemingly bloody monthly they do sodding software updates now.
I had a fire tablet for 3 years before this one and they weren't nearly as frequent - or as crap! - as they are now!
Anyone else had problems tonight?
I was listening to radio, it stopped completely without warning. VERY occasionally happens if I lose WiFi signal but rarely that happens and it usually comes back on again after a few seconds.
Also for about half an hour in the run up to the update it kept going "connected to fire tablet" randomly too which again it does occasionally but not as much as this
I checked the tablet to try and figure out what was going on and there was a pop up about a system update - at which point my stomach sank!!
Went via the pop up to settings and set according to my needs.
Asked Alexa to play radio again and it came on - but it's buffering like crazy! Sounds awful! Like being back on bloody dial up!
I've tried speaking to amazon and as usual they go straight to "do a factory reset" which is
A totally unnecessary
B excessive
C a pita!
Anyone else able to suggest how I can fix?
In addition when the amazon music app ad comes on it goes quiet again when "Alexa" said - in last couple days it had finally seemed to realise that wasn't my voice now it's responding to that bloody ad again!
