Am thinking of maybe moving your way!

Only thing is, I have no idea where to start looking!

Would prefer village location. No kids, so schools not an issue! Just me and a horse!

Am hoping to spend some time looking before taking the plunge, just would like some starting points please if possible!

Would rather not be "holiday" resort, so happy to be inland!

I lived in Somerset for 18 months. We've come back to sell my flat, which will buy half a house with front and back garden, and we're off permanently.

We rented for a bit to see how we liked it, is that an option?

I've lived all over the SW my entire life so I'm your girl! What are you looking for? Vibe, by the sea, inland, a nearby city..? how exciting for you!

Somerset village here. Also with horse!

Mendips great for hacking. Lots of yards this way...

We're easier for travel access potentially than your other choices (I grew up in Devon). Bristol Airport is nearby, trains are a couple of hours or less into London. But then Exeter is pretty well connected these days.

Cornwall would be my choice if money and travel were no issue.

We relocated 500 miles to a little village on Dartmoor a few years ago and it’s the best decision we have ever made, we brought Daughters pony down with us and have since acquired another (always the way!!!! 😂) It’s a different mentality down here compared to where we lived before, lots of horsey people but more farmers as opposed to people with just a lot of money. Everyone has been wonderfully welcoming and it all feels very Darling Buds of May...

We wouldn’t move again!!

My friend lives outside shaftesbury. Lovely little town

Helston and surrounding areas are lovely parts of Cornwall. We absolutely love living here and would never go back up country. There's some lovely villages all around The Lizard too. You're really spoilt for choice here.
