Going to China next week- Are Boric Acid suppositories allowed?!

Hi all, I’m new to MN and not sure if this should be in the health chat. Please feel to move! Sooo... I will be travelling to China next week (nowhere near where the virus started). I don’t particularly want to but I have to as I have signed a teaching contract and I don’t want to be in breach of it. I won’t be coming back home for a year at least so I will not be putting anyone at risk by flying from China to the UK before anyone starts. My question... can I bring Boric Acid suppositories on a plane and into China without getting into trouble? They are gelatin capsules with a white powder inside them for anyone doesn’t know. I really need them to help with recurrent thrush. Thanks in advance x

Totally beside the point , but didn’t realise these were a thing! I have same problem as you and have just gone and ordered some! Thank you and have a good trip.

Thanks! And glad to help. They aren’t easy to get hold of. I order mine off amazon us. Anyone know the answer to my question please? I can’t find anything online Confused

I am surprised the school are expecting you to go next week. I am on Facebook groups for International teachers and everyone in China seems to be teaching remotely at the moment

I need to complete 2 weeks quarantine before the role. I would rather not be going but I don’t know the implications of breaking a contract. Do you also teach abroad?

Will your US supplier ship them to China? If so, they will be fine to take in.
There is quite a lot of chat on facebook expat groups about 2 weeks quarantine before going back to work, and if people want to go onto China whilst their embassy is advising against all travel. Check you are insured.
