O2 monitoring / sleep study for mouth breathing / snoring child

DT1 has his mini sleep study tonight (just o2 thankfully - when DT2 was a baby with enlarged adenoids he had about 7 machines we had to hook him up to, at home, plus a nasal cannula and it was awful!).

It’s in sleep study mode so it won’t alarm. But since I’ve put it when he was already asleep, it’s been at 95%, which is apparently right at the bottom of normal range. He’s not snoring much right now and normally snores more later on so I guess there’s a chance this might drop further when he’s in a deeper sleep.

If you had results come back with lower o2 than normal, can I ask what happened next? DT2’s adenoids improved and his sleep study was then fine so we didn’t need to do anything further.

He snores a lot at night and also breathes through his mouth quite often - I just notice his mouth is slightly open. He tends to be quite congested generally, and when he has a cold he always has a brutal night cough but he has no cold or night cough at the moment so hopefully the results will give a good idea of how he is when he’s well.
