1st Concert in an Unknown City - Manchester Academy or London Shepard’s Bush?

Which would you choose? Will be travelling by train and I know neither place, but I really want to see this artist, google him on spec and saw he’s coming to the UK.
Only other thing would be I will need to stay over, Manchester is closer but will need 2 days A/L, London just the Friday.......

Thanks everyone! I’ve done stuff on my own but only local, but once a year I like to do something out of my comfort zone, and if I want to see him perform I guess this is it! My main worry was walking to the hotel, and you have confirmed what I thought (plus I did fancy something a little bit more than travelodge - I usually do them but thought if I’m going for it do it big!!!!

I'm sure you will have a great time. I was on my own one of the times I saw Michael Franti and it was a lovely friendly atmosphere, lots of energy, everybody dancing.

Had a minor panic yesterday - working out how many days off I would have left after taking dd to uni open days but sod it - if I have to work flexi/ask for some unpaid I’m going to! Can’t remember the last time I took annual leave for something that I want to do
