Not if you are healthy and fertile? My grandmother her final child at 46 and had no problems

I'll be 39 when I have my third...

NemophilistRebel · 04/03/2020 21:23

Probably not if it’s your first or second but if you already have two young children definitely not

I wouldn’t

FemiLANGul · 04/03/2020 21:25

I had my second at 41

RickOShay · 04/03/2020 21:25

No it’s not

LittleBoyJuly2020 · 04/03/2020 21:27

I'm 37 and 20 weeks pregnant. My first child is 20 years old so huge sibling gap haha. I don't feel any worse or tired being pregnant at 37 than I did at 17.
But obviously this time around it is a much more ideal situation Smile

I don't feel too old and might have another if I really enjoy it.

DrWAnker · 04/03/2020 21:29

First at 30. Second at 39. Pregnancy was tougher but after has been a dawdle in comparison - even now he's a challenging threenager!!!

Windyatthebeach · 04/03/2020 21:30

37 +43 here!!

OneTimePrepper · 04/03/2020 21:30

Not at all.

MingVase · 04/03/2020 21:31

I had DS at 39.

ShesGotBetteDavisEyes · 04/03/2020 21:31

I’m nearly 40 and honestly I couldn’t hack it now. I’m looking forward to the next stage of my life now mine are getting older.
But I already have 4 and if I was childless it would be a different story.

Il wait for grandchildren!

I had my 3rd at 37. Was fine! Would happily have done another pregnancy had I wanted to. X

Changedmyname84 · 04/03/2020 21:32

I think if you have kids already then leave it...it’s sad to think it but yeah I think it’s just time to enjoy what you have. BUT you only have one life...who knows what this life you’re creating will become!! I wouldn’t though - unless it was my first

Figgygal · 04/03/2020 21:33

I’m 39 it’s not what I would want but each to their own

stophuggingme · 04/03/2020 21:35

I had my first three weeks after my 39th birthday
My second two weeks after 41
And third aged 42

Imo 39 is not too old 😄

Shamazing · 04/03/2020 21:35

I had my second at 39. She's 13 now and totally awesome.

39 isn't old.

shuckleberryfinn · 04/03/2020 21:37

It's up to you. I've been pregnant in my twenties, early and late thirties and now I'm.over forty seriously considering another. My last pregnancy was by far the easiest and most enjoyable.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 04/03/2020 21:40

It's not too old, it's a personal decision. I would not have another baby at 39 but that's because I was very young when I had mine and he will be an adult by then. But plenty of people have babies at 39.

FinallyGotAnIPhone · 04/03/2020 21:46

There are millions of threads on here about this....

Aquafresca · 04/03/2020 21:50

What is your situation op? Are you already pregnant or ttc?

Notso · 04/03/2020 21:55

It's all relative isn't it.
For me with four DC, the oldest being 20. It feels much too old.

georgialondon · 04/03/2020 21:58

It's only too old if YOU think it is.

I don't think it is.
