We are lucky that we are not poorly very often so usually find when we need some medicine, that it's out of date. Having a sort out at the mo and have discovered some TCP which went out of date Sep 1999 and some Witch Hazel which went ood in Jun 1994.

Can anyone beat that?

Funnily enough I just cleared out mine this week, nothing older than 2015 though. Mainly because we have moved house 4 times since 2013 and each move has resulted in a clear out.

I only kept the out of date Olbas oil, what harm can that do?! Grin

Tea tree oil.
I bulk. Bought it in 2000 for disinfecting nappies while they were waiting to be washed.
I bought about 3 times as much as was needed over 3 children.

When I was little (in the 70s) my mum used to have Olive Oil BP in a little bottle from Boots. It smelt kind of odd (what I now know to be old and rancid!). Used to be warmed and put on cotton wool to stick in your ear if you had ear ache.
It was still in her medicine cupboard a couple of years ago - would have been at least 45 years old. I did mention it to her - but haven’t checked to see if it is still there recently. This has reminded me I should check next time I see her! 😂

A small tin of Germolene from the 1980s.
Some petroleum jelly - no idea why I bought it, but early 90s so clearly something to do with my children and nappy rash probably.

Vix vapour rub!

Definitely had it a good 15 years at LEAST.
