Mid 90s- early 2000s . DM used to buy it all the time and serve up with chips and beans .

It was some sort of meat, chopped and shaped into like a pork chop/bacon type shape and frozen . Sold alongside crispy pancakes, turkey dinosaurs etc ... had a vaguely Chinese type flavour if I remember right . Sister used to call it ‘pork shoe’ as it looked remarkably like the sole of a shoe once cooked sadly .

I want to called it a mock chop but I’m sure that’s wrong ... any ideas what I’m thinking of?!

Grillsteak! I remember them well, they were yummy!

Asterisktheknackered · 01/03/2020 17:37

Kingrib

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 01/03/2020 17:38

Havelock I think that's a slightly different one, but I remember those too. I think my mum used to buy them because they weren't quite burger shaped, so that somehow made them posher. So you'd have your burger bun with just a little tongue of mashed beef trimmings hanging out Confused I used to trim it into a circle.

lowlandLucky · 01/03/2020 17:46

Dalepak chinese ribs

HavelockVetinari · 01/03/2020 18:44

They also used to do lamb and pork varieties. Delicious!

Kingribs! That was it - thank you ! Couldn’t remember at all , I could only really vaguely picture them - yes, memory making me feel a bit queasy !!
