DD is making a model of a dragon for a competition tomorrow and then we'll be making welsh cakes

I live in England now but DS and I have made Welsh cakes.

It always reminds me of traipsing down to the cathedral for the schools' service and freezing for an hour (whilst the school clown showed off by eating his leek).

I remember the smell of leeks as the older boys always had a huge real leek pinned to their chest and would nibble the ends

I do love a fresh warm welsh cake

I might have eaten a few too many Welsh cakes But they're compulsory today aren't they?

There are never daffs on the right day here in Nottingham. It will probably be weeks before we see any!

Had a nice morning out at Chepstow castle. Welsh cake and a cup of coffee.
