What alcoholic drink do you have at home in the evening?

Which alcoholic drink is your ‘go to’ when sitting at home relaxing on a weekend watching Saturday night takeaway? (other programmes are available.)
I’ve just opened a bottle of Prosecco for myself and wondering what others drink at home. 🙂

Generally a dry white here. Cold and crisp.

I’ll have the odd cider or G&T in the summer but I find I get too bloated and gassy after a couple.

Nothing alcoholic at all, I have a thimble of sherry on Christmas Day. You are all shocking disgraceful alcoholics.
I also lie a lot.
My go to is white wine, I used to be a total gin person. I've moved away from the gin, my best and absolute favourite is Vino Verde
I'm flying back in 2 weeks time and I'll be enjoying the Vino Verde.

I enjoy beer when I’m on holiday somewhere or if it’s really hot but it’s so bloating that I don’t make a habit of drinking it regularly.
I don’t like wine/gin/prosecco at all.
Not usually only drink on one night of the weekend, I’m on the water tonight due to an indulgent night last night!

We usually share a bottle of Merlot on Saturday nights. Don't tend to drink during the week unless it's a special occasion like Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

I go for a wine usually a red though I do like white and rose too, if I’ve got it in I’ll have Gin and tonic, I also love Prosecco now, only recently started drinking it, I used to hate the stuff.

Red wine

I generally don't drink much, then when I do I drink too much, but I do love rhubarb and ginger gin liqueur and ginger ale, or a white Russian. I like sweet alcohol, been trying to find something different to drink for a while but with no success. I do like a mixed fruit cider, usually only in the summer though.

Not on booze tonight, had drink last night and it didn’t go well, spent most of today laid on the sofa, so Vimto squash for me

Depends on the meal, but either red or white wine.

OH only drinks beer if out, which is rare. In the summer I might have a G&T, Christmas I might have a baileys, but generally just wine.

Pink gin and lemonade. Tastes just like strawberry lemonade - this is why it's so dangerous! But utterly delicious.

Tonight it’s a floral / botanical Scottish gin, Mediterranean fevertree tonic, ice and an apple and pink grapefruit garnish

Heaven

Depends what we're eating. Or what I've seen that has sparked my interest. Or how painful the DDs are being.

Red, white and rose of all persuasions in the cellar. G&T sometimes, although more in summer. Love an old fashioned or a martini. Beer. Cava or champagne, prosecco is piss. Maybe a whiskey late at night. We made margaritas last weekend for international margarita day.

Not all at once. Not all together. Often not at all. But the right drink at the right time is delicious and I love a well stocked bar

I sometimes prefer a bottle of wine 🥂 but prosecco contajns less carbs so I'll go with that!

Very well chilled Rose wine
Bourbon and coke and a slice of lemon
Apple Vodka and lemonade
Tanqueray Sterling vodka from the freezer straight with ice
Large Baileys and ice

Always have a bottle of each in (as long as dh doesn't drink the bourbon when I'm not looking!) so I can choose whatever I fancy at the time.

I'm sure Lidl do a pink fizz it might not be Prosecco but it's not bad. White wine here for me tonight. Prosecco if I have friends round. Maybe a Pink Gin in a little bit too

G&T or beer. Love wine and prosecco too but once the bottle is open I'm not good at leaving some for another day!

Diet lemonade. 🎉 I'm on a diet, and I did dry January a few years ago and it totally changed my view on booze. It's now really not something I'd do for the sake of it in front of the tv.

Until two weeks ago it was Hardy's Stamp Merlot. A large glass every night..sometimes two.
Then I realised how many units that was and decided it was time to stop and only have wine at weekends.
After two weeks without I now don't like the taste

So tonight, my son in law to be,(who lives with us) made me a delicious large gin. He and DD2 are into gin.
I am now into gin!

Kahlua and Diet Coke. Although there’s been decidedly less since I’ve been working on losing weight.

German pilsner. Sometimes a gin and tonic.

DH and I share a bottle of French sparking wine sometimes.

A glass of White Grenache, or a tot of JD.

Although I drink like a fish when I go out or have friends round, I very rarely drink in front of the tv-genuinely would prefer a cup of tea.
I don’t know why!

Occasionally dh will bring me a glass of wine or a g&t but I can’t usually finish it.

Any insights would be welcome!

Dp likes a beer or a whiskey.

We're not big drinkers though, we've had the same bottles of whiskey, rum and gin in the cupboard since before Christmas.
