Corona. Work experience day with airport staff

Being held this week. Only just told.

DS has been selected. Various people from airport will be showcasing different jobs to students.

Not sure it's the best idea to bring people from the airport who are in contact with thousands of people coming in from all over the world with students right now?

Would I be alarmist to decline consent?

DS has only just come back (we'll a fortnight ago) from South Italy with school. I'll admit I wasn't as aware of Corona when he left

Bump. I know there's alot of corona threads about at the min but I'm genuinely interested in hearing whether othe r people would let their kid go to this?

I don't know if I'm being overly cautious.

I wouldn’t be concerned in any way.

RoseAndRose · 29/02/2020 20:06

Is your DS actually interested in working in anything to do with aviation, ravel, tourism or the running of a large enterprise?

Pipandmum · 29/02/2020 20:07

I'd let my kids go. Many people that work in airports don't deal with the public anyway, but I'd have no concerns - sounds interesting!

GMAILFAIL · 29/02/2020 20:18

No.

He has no interest at all. But sees it as a day out of school gates so wants to go 😂

I’d have no concerns

PlomBear · 29/02/2020 20:19

I love a good airport! I’d go.

Biscuitsdisappear · 29/02/2020 20:20

I would let him go, he might learn something.

HappentoHappen · 29/02/2020 20:20

I would let my DA go. I would definitely feel funny about it! But we can’t all lock ourselves away without good reason.

MrsAmaretto · 29/02/2020 23:10

Let him go, but if he telling him not to touch his face and to wash his hand regularly!

VenusClapTrap · 29/02/2020 23:30

Wouldn’t bother me unless he was immunosuppressed.
