Chicken breast use by 28 Feb, ok to cook?

Got them from M&S want to cook a curry tonight just noticed use by is yesterday.

I'm sure they'll be fine. Open up packet and smell....if ok then I would use!

I wouldn’t - not with chicken.

They have to cover their arses but there's always going to be a contingency. Like the chicken doesn't know what the clock struck midnight!

You will be able to clearly tell by the smell and appearance if they're ok or not.

Its only a few hours since 28th. They'll be fine.

I have some serious medical conditions so I don’t take risks with dates but with raw fresh chicken you will smell it if it’s off - make sure it’s cooked right through and served piping hot

Now subway tikka chicken is a different story ....

IF it smells OK it will be fine. Just cook it properly.

Just smell it , my husband had some chicken the other day that was 3 days out of date (from use by), I didn’t have any as I’m pregnant and off chicken at the mo but he was fine ! Unless it’s funny colour or smelly it’s fine !

Some of us are old enough to remember when we didn't have dates on things. We all survived somehow.

I would with anything besides chicken. I’m OTT about chicken

I did the exact same thing earlier on in the week with Morrison’s chicken. Everything was fine. I’d definitely be using them.
