Is my daughter entitled to any holiday from her Saturday job?

Can anyone confirm whether a 17 year old (still at school) is entitled to holiday from a Saturday job please? As in is it a legal right? She doesn’t have a written contract but works every Saturday in a cafe in town.

She earns £4.50 per hour and works 6.25 hours each Saturday plus extra shifts in school holidays.

Could she just say she is planning a holiday and just wants to double check her annual leave entitlement? That way the conversation is opened up and with your support, she can challenge them if they tell her she isn't entitled. Maybe even get her to read through the workers rights info on hmrc and acas, that way she has the knowledge herself?

She should get 4 days and 1 bank holiday paid days per year. Her holiday pay is the average pay over a certain amount of weeks. She'll need the bank holiday so that she gets paid for Boxing Day if the café is shut.

She doesn't have the right to choose what days she has off, however.
