Anyone want to hold a pregnancy pity party with me?

First: I know I'm lucky to be pregnant. It's not been easy to conceive.

BUT I absolutely hate being pregnant.

I'm about 6.5, maybe 7 weeks - expecting my second child (if it sticks).

I hate it. The insomnia, the late night vomiting, the constant hangover feeling that you can't fix. I have high risk pregnancies too, so all the nagging worries, and the wondering how it's going to play out. It sucks. Also the deception, like the "migraine" I have today when I couldn't work due to vomiting every hour all night and getting no sleep.

And the sheer exhaustion - especially with a toddler in the mix!

Anyone else hating every day and looking forward to never, ever doing it again?

13 weeks today, hymermesis. Medication helps but I still feel like death warmed up.

This is my third. I really wanted a third. Then I hit 7 weeks and omg, I’ve felt like I’m dying ever since.

Past two pregnancies this carries on until birth.

I’m with you. Really hoping this one sticks so I don’t have to do pregnancy ever again! Wish I could fast forward a few weeks to the second trimester so I can eat again!!

Wow @Connie222 you are a legend for going for a third with HG. I'm slightly terrified that the sickness is going to be bad this time. Last time it was just intense nausea really, grim but manageable. This time the actual puking has begun already and I don't think I'm even quite 7 weeks yet.

Ugh I hear you @HighHopes20 - actually the only time I feel ok is when actually eating. As soon as I stop I want to vomit again. I know a long sleep would really help but it's just not happening

@YukoandHiro only because I have big age gaps. Dc are 18 and 6! I’m 40 now or I’d have gone for an even bigger age gap than 6 years of I could. I couldn’t manage with young children to look after. At least at 6 DD understands that
I am unwell. I don’t know how people manage to feel this awful and look after toddlers.

YukoandHiro · 26/02/2020 15:50

Yeah I totally get it. I would have left a bigger gap if I wasn't already in my late 30s. My toddler is 2.5 - I'm exhausted. If I carry on feeling this bad (or worse) I reckon I'm going to have to get signed off work for a bit. Rubbish.
