Babyzen Yoyo+ or Ergobaby Metro

Looking to get a second buggy for travelling and can’t decide which would be best.
Off to Spain in the summer so want one that fits in plane overhead locker, but also would use for going on the bus/tube/train.
We’ll be going round town in Spain, but also to the beach. DD2 will be 11 months. DD1 will be 4 - I have a vague idea she could go in it in the evenings if we go out to eat and have a long walk home and DD1 could go in sling.
I’m after something that will still be comfy to push around when DD2 gets bigger. We had an old maclaran for DD1 which was really heavy to push around on holidays as she got bigger.

Pros for ergo:

  • I’m a bit worried about how they’ll cope with any uneven ground, the ergo seems to have slightly bigger back wheels.
  • mesh at back seems we’ll ventilated for warm weather
  • quite a lot cheaper

Pros for yoyo

  • well reviewed, tried and tested, lots of people seem to have it- i haven’t seen anyone using the ergo
  • good resale value
  • my 4 year old said it was more comfy, but not sure if she just liked the colour more.

Any thoughts on which one would be best? Particularly keen on comments from anyone who has one.

I looked at both today in a shop and much preferred the ergobaby metro. It feels more sturdy. The mesh is great. The hood is bigger. It seems more spacious on height. Full recline. Recline, fold and straps are far less fiddly to operate than the Yo-yo!

Thanks, that was my thinking, although have been swayed by how popular the Yoyo is, plus there’s a new version out this week with higher 22kg weight

I'd go for whichever had the largest wheels as tiny wheels are useless on the beach.
