Culinary chef I’m not

But even I was pleased with this Grin

we will ignore the fact the first couple came out looking like roadkill. It still tasted the same

Can I please show off my squirrel pancakes!

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

ellendegeneres · 25/02/2020 17:11

I’m just over the moon that mine looked and tasted recognisable and my kids didn’t turn their noses up at them lol

Ilovethewild · 25/02/2020 17:12

Fabulous

Soubriquet · 25/02/2020 17:13

Well one of the roadkill ones was smothered with lemon juice, bananas and blueberries by dd so I don’t think it really mattered

These are incredible. Squirrel Nutkin would be proud!

Horsemad · 25/02/2020 19:45

Brilliant! 😆

Tr1skel1on · 25/02/2020 20:48

I have a squirrel obsessed DD. We are both in awe of your pancake skills. Well done :)

Howmanysleepsnow · 25/02/2020 22:38

Wow. By the time we’d tossed ours they weren’t even round anymore. I’m impressed!

TheChosenTwo · 25/02/2020 23:28

Someone posted on my local fb page earlier today that their squirrel frying pan was stolen from the pub he was in Grin
Fess up now, was it you?
The comments on that thread were absolutely hilarious but obviously you can’t see them...
Anyway, they look great 👍🏽

Soubriquet · 26/02/2020 02:35

Haha! No it wasn’t me

I’ve had mine about two weeks now. Was waiting especially for today to use it

That is a pancake of beauty! 😍⭐️😍

Although I’m just glad if mine can be scraped off the frying pan and scraped off the ceiling after my slightly too enthusiastic flipping tbh.

Er, can I ask your recipe please? Blush

Soubriquet · 26/02/2020 03:54

Yes!

I used the Jamie Oliver recipe which was one cup flour, one cup milk and one large egg

It’s a thicker batter which means you can shape it better

I’m so confused, can you explain about the frying pan?! I’ve googled but I’m just getting loads of squirrel recipes 😀

Taddda · 26/02/2020 04:00

It looks great, but what's with the squirrel fanbase!? Is it pancake related? Hmm

Rtmhwales · 26/02/2020 04:03

If it's like a similar one I have, the plan has the outline of the thing you want to draw on it. You put pancake batter in a squeeze bottle, squeeze out the lines, let them cook for a quick minute, then squeeze to fill in spaces between the lines (inside, if you will). Then when you flip it, the outline is darker than the middle and you have a design.

violetbunny · 26/02/2020 06:05

Quite relieved to see they are squirrel shaped and not squirrel flavoured GrinWink

Soubriquet · 26/02/2020 08:23

As above, there is a stencil on the pan that you fill in with a squeezy bottle of pancake mixture

It was all squirrel in the store but I’ve heard you can get peppa pig and other designs

OP posts:
Soubriquet · 26/02/2020 08:26

Here is a link to some with different designs

Please note I did not pay the prices shown!!! Shock

I can’t believe how much they are charging
