4* Greek hotels that won't break the bank

Have never been to Greece so would love some recommendations for 4* hotels with a choice of pools and activities, preferably within walking distance of a largish town. Travelling with two teenagers so we'd need two separate rooms and WiFi!!!!!

Doesn't have to be luxurious but must be clean, comfy beds and good bed linens and stuff. Thank you xxx

Atlantica Aegean Blue Resort would be my recommendation, although it’s not within walking distance of a town.

Where do you want to go? You need to whittle down to a few locations possible locations first, then think about hotels. It’s a beautiful country and the population is over 10 million. The size of Greece is over 251,000 kilometres.

The busier islands have airports which take overseas flights. Greece also has a domestic flight network and domestic airports. The mainland is also lovely. You widen your opportunities further if you then take a ferry on Greece’s extensive ferry system.

The best swimming pool in Greece us the Aegean sea!

No-one would ask for a suggestion for an hotel in the UK. You really need to research further.

I have just got 2 weeks in Cuba for the same price as 2 weeks in Santorini cost me last year (3300)

Again, Cuba is a very different ball game to Greece. Santorini is also one of the most expensive places in Greece.

Whatever the OP does, I would recommend not necessarily going for a package but doing an independent travel/booking comparison. The likes of BA, easyJet, Ryanair, Jet2 (flight only) offer a big choice of Greek destinations. And you don’t have to hang about waiting for others at the destination airport.

Starlight, samtorini was cheaper than zante and kos

Atlantica Akti Zeus in Crete. The good is really good and it's got its own beach and small waterpark

Hi x

So we would prefer a Greek Island and a pretty one. Don't fancy Crete or Corfu as DH has already been there. So I think Kefalonia or where they filmed Mamma Mia. Or any island that has good scenery and plenty of greenery. Really like the idea of somewhere with a largish pretty harbour with lots of little bars, cafes and shops x
